Athletics plays a significant role in the lives of many Buckeyes. Our attitudes and actions not only reflect upon our individual character but also on the character of our university as a whole. Recently, sportsmanship has become a growing concern in collegiate athletics. As Buckeyes, it is essential for us to take the initiative to foster a friendly and welcoming environment for all, thereby portraying our alma mater with the pride and respect it deserves. The Buckeye Sportsmanship Creed On game days, we come down with scarlet fever. We sing the fight song loud and proud. We believe every O-H deserves an I-O. We support all of our athletes and teams. We follow the "scarlet rules." We treat our guests as we wish to be treated. We cheer for a good play and respect the other team. We're gracious in victory and defeat. Athletic competition brings out the best in all of us. When the dust has cleared... And the final whistle has blown, The spirit is maintained.. The pride is there...
